Discussion about 60 Riverside Drive in Upper West Side
Is the traffic noise coming from the 79th st exit unbearable if you live in this building?

Don't think so, but noise travels easily between apartments here. Building was constructed as a sort of typical '60s rental building before going co-op in the '80s and with many renovations and walls removed there is somewhat of a "cavern" effect that means you can often hear all sorts of sounds from neighboring apartments.

Not so much that, but very noisy building in the walls, especially where so many apartments were reconfigured with little regard to how sound travels.
