Construction For Long Period of Time

Discussion about 67 East 11th Street in Greenwich Village
It seems like this building, and all the buildings around it have had lots of construction for literally years. The entire building is wrapped in scaffolding. For anyone that lives here, has lived here or knows more about it, how many years has this really be going on? And, do you think an end is near in sight?
