It is some brokers trying to find relevance. Closed kitchen needs a legal window and people in 1000 sq ft 2 bed rooms just don’t have that extra window. From the listings I see, open concept is still what sells. Separate kitchen, may be for stuffy coop type people.
And Google thinks that I am a potential buyer for $50mm+ Central Park Tower homes with open kitchens and its fancy chef's restaurant. It keep showing me ads before youtube videos.
