Within the last month or so, I bought in a building managed by WSA, who was related to the developers. While the building staff seem to try to be helpful, at least for the most part, I find the management staff appalling. It seems to be one very rude, unhelpful woman, and and not particularly helpful corporate officer running the show. I will not give an itemized list, but these people are the biggest nickel and diming non-service oriented people I have come across, even in New York. When you spend nearly 975,000 on a condo, you expect a little bit of service. I've gotten better service in the shoe department at Lord and Taylors. It's a nice building, and again, the staff is okay, but I just wonder about the whole WSA crew. The building is mostly sold, but they hung on to a handful of units so they could maintain control, and rented them out at a fire sale prices. I know they developed one of the big hotels, but I can't seem to find out much else about them. I had some concerns when I bought, but I didn't realize that WSA was in it for the long haul. Does anyone know anything about them? I've got to say, while I don't agree with a lot the bears on StreetEasy say, I really do miss my Related Rental at times!! These people better start caring a little bit more about their reputation if they want to continue to develop and manage properties in Manhattan!!!! [less]
