Discussion about
Since the new format on this website, where can one find all floorplans available for the building?

Don't know -- I looked and I can't find them. I will be blunt and say that I hate the new layout -- it is neither efficient or user friendly. The earlier table format for viewing available and previously sold units was far better, as was the separate section for floorplans.

New layout is horrible. Why did they have to go and mess it up like that??

My uncharitable view is that most web design is now done by 10-year olds using templates, and neither the 10-year olds nor the template manufacturers have any significant training in visual communications, aesthetics, or end-user factors. That said, maybe SE's web designers aren't 10 years old and are all Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts graduates, so the changes must be for some business reason that de-prioritizes user experience.

A part of me suspects that they wanted to make the historical building listing data more diffcult to access so that they can potentiall sell analysis using that data.

More benign view is that they are restructing their data storage and user interface for some type of technological efficiency but in the process user experience got sacrificed.

@300 - yes quite possible they move to monetize their historical DB and this is a step towards putting it behind some gates

The data is available elsewhere still, of course, like (say) on UrbanDigs. Zillow seems to be coming full circle on SE disrupting the opaque industry via transparency.

also they have unlinked the talk pages from buildings. you have to know to come here, and then good luck with the search working! I would love to see some of this stuff put back and made accessible again.

Just noticed that "unavailable units" does give you all the info including floor plans except I don't know where the "floorplans" only section went. So guessing they just chose not to spend time on that feature.

How do you see all units in a building on one page? I couldn’t figure that out.

This is what I did. On PC. 1 Irving Place and go to Zackendorf towers. After that "View Unavailable Units". A new window pops up. There is download button at the bottom of that window.

Perhaps you have a pop-up blocker for Streeteasy.

Not Sales and Rent history, but rather the page that lists each individual unit. And the link goes to a page specific to that unit, such as this one:

https://streeteasy.com/property/834145-200-riverside-boulevard-33b

The window I am talking about lists all units.

Yes, this is part of my annoyance: The only difference between the available and unavailable units is, well, their availability. Yet, the methods of presenting the exact same information about a unit between these two statuses are completely different. The pop-up box is also 'triple-spaced', which is enormously wasteful of screen space, and doesn't facilitate comparison between units. Both these implementations are unnecessary, and bad design.

Aaron, Indeed. Since Streeteasy is not charging for for this info, I am happy that they at least have it available even though they didn’t need to ruin the previous interface.
