Wondering if anyone can see a way to keep the same amount of refrigerator + freezer space (around 7 cubic feet) while expanding kitchen counter space. And what it might cost. https://streeteasy.com/building/47_-49-morton-street-new_york/2a I'd be happy to reduce to two stovetop burners and a small undercounter or countertop convection oven. That gets it partway there. Maybe open one of the closets to create a niche for a regular fridge? But there's not much closet space to begin with. Create cabinetry for a small freezer or fridge in the living area and put another undercounter fridge in the kitchen? While the bathroom is fun as is maybe replacing the tub with a shower and moving the sink into resulting space to push a bathroom wall in, creating a nook for a fridge on the bathroom side of the kitchen? Probably the cleanest but also the most expensive solution. Happy with just OK finishes - wouldn't need high end Anyway, ideas + cost are welcome... [less]
Get rid of stove and refrigerator. L-shaped counter. Use 2 under counter refrigerators and a cooktop with a built-in convection/microwave/hood above it.
If you could deal with slightly less than 7 cubic feet something like this gets you 6.3

I think I would put the above drawer refrigerator/freezer where the fridge/stove are, then a corner cabinet with a sink and then the cooktop where the sink is.
@30yrs 6.3 is decent - thanks for the suggestion. I don't know if they'd let me move the sink (wet over wet) but it's an elegant solution. How much do you think that would run using caesarstone + Ikea using a $200/hr contractor?
Congrats on the space! Please say you're keeping that marvelous tub...
