building at 310 West 79th Street

Looks like 750-800, assuming the room measurements are roughly accurate. It would be around 900 if the northwest corner weren't missing.

I saw it on Friday and am interested in hearing from anyone who has lived with such an open kitchen as this. We entertain a lot and wonder if the pots on the stove and lack of privacy is an issue for anyone (children comments also welcome). We want an open kitchen, but this is literally one room for kitchen, eating, and living.

I'm a big fan of the open kitchen, but in my book what you have there is something else ... Pullman kitchen? Hollywood kitchen? Anyway, it doesn't count.

They have to be kidding...I'm no cook but there literally isn't enough room there to open take out of pour a bowl of cereal (or Science Diet for that matter). Putting in some kind of bar would be just about mandatory which would make the "open space" look smaller. Also isn't $1800+ for a little steep maintenance for a 2/2 with no doorman?

My thoughts exactly!!!! They said b/c it's such a small building (around 40 units) that the maint is spread out accordingly.

Did anyone go to the OH last Friday or Sunday? I went and thought the apt was REALLY nice, but just not enough space for my husband and I. It was renovated very nicely (great bathrooms and good sized rooms), but there is no room to grow as a family. Anyone else see it?
