Are brokers panicking?

Discussion about
I've received emails/phone calls in the last week from 7 or 8 brokers that I've met at various open houses (back in Feb-May). Previously, I'd get a call within a few days of the open house and that was it. Anybody else getting this? Are things that desperate?

Yup--I'm having the same problem. Calls, emails, more calls, more emails--primarily from brokers with whom I've had a relationship in the past. I don't know how many times I have to say NO before they start to get the picture...

Hey you! Yeah, I'm talking to YOU! Stop calling! Stop emailing! I'm NOT BUYING! Sheesh.

Me too.

Got an e-mail from a guy I met for ten minutes about six months ago.

Frankly, it reeked of desperation.

Can't blame them -- there's gonna be as big a shake-out in NYC RE as there is on Wall St.

Good luck, guys!

I've gotten emails from people I don't even remember meeting. They are desperate. They are waiting for the drop so at least they start doing some deals. These standoffs are killing them.

not the ones who thought they were smarter than everyone else and put 10% down with an interest only mortgage on a new development hoping to flip it out to us morons as an exclusive. They are the ones holding the bag now. Ooops.

One broker I know bought at 20 Pine as in "investment".

Nice job there!

Whatever they do or say, do the opposite... thats always a pretty good investment strategy.
