Discussion about 100 Riverside Drive #1D
I think this is a great location and great space for the price. Granted, no separate dining room, but still. I'm wondering why it hasn't rented yet? Are people that hung up on views (it is a ground floor, facing SE, I believe)? Perhaps it's very dark? Poor condition? I'm always surprised to see it still on the market.
This is the second time you've posted about this apartment, mom -- are you the owner, perchance? ;)
It does sound like I could be doesn't it? The thought of owning any real estate in this city is laughable to me right now (before anyone jumps all over that statement, its b/c we can't afford anything, not b/c I'm a 'rent over buy' advocate).
This apartment intrigues me. It must have quite a few flaws... or perhaps the price isn't as good as I assume it to be.
*shrug*
ok so this is my basic understanding of econ. 5500 is a truckload of money. that kind of money is quickly disappearing from mh. hence less people are renting expensive apts. these are not difficult concepts. i think you should be able to grasp them. maybe not.
Hey, I "totally" grasp ya!
There are $8000+ 3 bedrooms within blocks from this one renting out as we speak.
Any other ideas?
Here you go. This one is a little larger, but you get my point

Why so snarky, Totally?
I have friends that live in this building
Now is the time to buy at 100 Riverside Drive.
Buy now or be priced out forever at 100 Riverside Drive.
Go to that sales opps rent office at 100 Riverside Drive and catch that falling knife they are selling.
Looks like that 100 Riverside Drive apartment is on the ground floor-- you can see that it's 100 Riverside Drive #1D from the sales listings in that building. Imho, that means little to no light and little to no privacy... probably why it hasn't rented or sold, uwsmom.
I think ground floor warrants a huge discount. Especially for a family, and this is family apartment.
More generally, there are a ton of listings just sitting. It's a renter's market.
yeah - little light & little privacy would be detractors. I suppose my desperation for a larger place is showing - that's what a one-bedroom with a new baby gets you =)
Yep UWS mom - we were in the same situation - it was fine when the baby was under one but now at 2.5 we had to move from the one br. We found a huge jr 4 with 2 full baths and as I've said before it will seem like a palace to us compared to our 1 br. We also decided against the ground floor scenario. My husband really wants light. Rents are dropping fast - you'll get your upgrade.
My intrigue is squashed =)
I too would want light and privacy...what the hell am I thinking??
I need to stop drooling over 3 bedrooms!
Maybe there's a lot of lobby traffic and that's apparent in the apartment?
