Discussion about
I recently saw an apartment at 10 barclay. The broker was extolling the virtues of the place, and then out of nowhere she asked me if I was single. I replied yes, and she said, "yeah, this building is really trendy, with lot of young professionals and a few models as well. You would love this building." I chuckled because it seems like such an absurd selling point. First of all, how is a building more "trendy" than others? It's not like we're talking about clothes or nightclubs. Perhaps brokers are just getting really desperate.

One York has a lot of good looking people living in it, and the evening doorman is a former male Abercrombie model. Very hot.

oh good, maybe if i live there i can bask in the glory of a former model doorman. this is new york city, people. there are CURRENT models binging and purging all over the place.

what is particularly amusing about the 'trendy' building idea is that it is the LAST THING YOU WANT in an apartment building. trends change--that's what makes them trends. solid, timeless, etc. are what make a good building, not a trend!
