It's official: http://www.cnbc.com/id/28693447?slide=9
Link does not work.
But good, when are you leaving? Charlotte is depserate for their share of know-it-alls who actually know nothing except how to translate other people's thoughts and business plans. I'll reserve you a moving truck.
wow such hate...charlotte is a terrific city..housing is cheap but once again...it's not new york.
Lived there once in a "yankee containment area". Don't even think about it!
I love Charlotte...
I Love NYC as well but, Charlotte might be the next choice for me fi I moved and family wasn't here...
The city is pretty new and clean, they have Major Sports teams including the Panthers and some great restaurants...
And the Condo you can buy down there for $400k would cost you about 4 Million in NYC... With Spa, pool etc etc...
I happen to know a great NEW YORK transplanted broker down there as well... http://www.uptownresidents.com/profile/robert-janezic.htm
Link works for me.
steve,
It's bad enough having to read pro Chicago/ Texas propaganda on SE all day long. Please don't do the same thing for Charlotte. Do you want to becoe another rufus?
I wouldn't even be buried in Charlotte, to be honest. But....
stevejhx, this is more proof positive of your erroneous postings:
"it's official"
Official? Hardly. This "survey" was researched by relocation.com (hmmm, wonder if they have any vested interest in people relocating) and cited their data from "crunching web site searches for popularity."
No actualy numbers, no proof, just fantasy. On a cold day like today, I would search what the temperature is in Miami. Guess that is one more "relocation score" for Miami.
Notice how stevejhx posts any article, no matter how inaccurate or shady sourced just to make his opinions seem relevant. I don't know who I feel more sorry for - him, or the few people on this site that actually think he is credible. It's like getting advice from the crazy lady pushing the shopping cart full of soda cans. She may sound like she's making sense, but when you really listen...it all falls apart.
"The opportunity cost is next best alternative foregone. So the next best alternative to buying would be renting. If you rent, you will save yourself £250,000 and a likely depreciation in house value, and you will pay rent rather than a mortgage."
Even further proof of stevejhx's mission to confuse:
He even confused himself with his mass postings, confusing replies to incorrect threads. I'll bet he even tries to justify the above post as being relevant to this thread, which he started.
stevejhx is a typical renter: bitter at the world that he cannot buy into, so he tries to justify his failure as intentional.
