Discussion about
One of you morons posted a link, which shows that NYC has 8,000 highrises while Chicago has 5,000. However, I was talking about residential buildings only, and that number includes offices and hotels. Chicago has more 30 story residential buildings than NYC.
hey, columbia reject, you still haven't responded on the thread all about you...
http://www.streeteasy.com/nyc/talk/discussion/8131-rufus-mystery-solved
We know its sour grapes, and you couldn't make it to your dream city... so when are you going to respond?
Rufus, who the fuck cares? how simplistic could you be? guess what, Paris and Rome don't have many high-rises, and they kick ass.
London, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Tokyo and ......
If you added Chicago, YOU'RE WRONG!!!
"Chicago has more 30 story residential buildings than NYC"
OMG. We have reached a new low.
Guess what? Rome has more Roman ruins than Chicago.
And Athens has more Greek ruins than Rome.
New York is closer to the Hudson than Chicago.
San Francisco sits on a fault.
Toronto is where the longest street in the world begins.
The Queen lives in London.
Francois Mitterand is dead.
So is this thread.
HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA @ Chicago having 5,000 vs NYC's 8,000.
Columbia reject, Chicago has 1,075 which is nowhere near 5,000.
I just DO NOT get it.
Why would it matter if NYC's thousands of skyscrapers were residential or commercial/hotels? Do you want to snatch up every condo in New York? What is your obsession with condos? Why would any sane person care about exactly how many condos are in a city?
I don't get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And with such a stark difference between the number of skyscrapers in NYC vs. Chicago, it's impossible for New York to not have way more residential high rises than Chicago.
omg when are you gonna stop, who gives a shit about chicago? highrises arent everything, most of the best residential buildings in new york are not high rises. you are an idiot and no one likes you. get lost.
PsychoCrackerBoy, why don't you just smoke cigars instead?
And NYC has MORE suspension bridges than Chicago. In Chicago, most of the bridges are draw-bridges, which is so ANCIENT.
I'm only bringing this up because idiots like michaelkyleh kept trying to argue that NYC has more highrise residential buildings than Chicago, which is blatantly false.
Hey Rejectus - Maybe you could get a job washing the windows in those Chicago highrises? Oh wait a minute, there is an interview, so you would probably get rejected by them too.
rufus, and how do you know its blatantly false?
Unless you provide evidence which shows that Chicago has more residential high-rises than NYC then nobody believes you, Columbia reject.
You were too dumb to get into Columbia, what makes you think that we should believe that you know how many residential high rises are in NY?
I heard rufus also got rejected by the University of Phoenix!!
"You were too dumb to get into Columbia, what makes you think that we should believe that you know how many residential high rises are in NY?"
Why should we believe he can count past 4?
U of P....oh boy! That is setting the bar really, really low....
Rufus, I hear that dogs in NYC poop 10x less than they do in Chicago. Maybe it's because the water is so awesome here. Best municipal water in the country, you know. Probably all the lead pipes.
Although PsychoCrackerBoy is wrong by every measure, "highrise" has been defined as any building more than 70-75 feet tall (depending on which definition). In fact, the Wikipedia says that "High-rise apartment buildings had already flourished in antiquity" It makes reference to "medieval cities", but isn't referring to Chicago, which is merely 19th Century. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highrise
And Chicago Spire, of course, remains cancelled. [This just in -- Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead!]
