munckee, listings are still up at aptsandlofts.com. I would contact someone there to see what's up.

Wonder if this becomes public housing, what that means for the 5 buyers...

public housing? are you serious? you don't think there will be buyers for a brand new condo at some price point between the current inflated price and $0 psf. there is a segment of the population between the wealthy and the welfare recipients.

Would this developer be in the red if he had to slash prices by 50%? I like the building but at $800sq on average, this is very unrealistic. You can find cheaper in the West village or Chelsea.

In the red he is...
This building is being foreclosed. Nice lofts but way overpriced. I'm not surprised.

lk917 -- the comment about public housing may have little to do with market forces.

The city council -- which is bought and paid for by real estate developers -- is hatching some kind of plan to buy such defaulted properties -- and thus bail out the developers -- in order to convert them to "affordable housing."

I have no doubt that is will occur in at least some cases. Because the city council is full of spineless weasels. Corrupt spineless weasels.

'they're back....'!

pricing seems to average from 620 for a 1 bed, ground floor, to 700+ for a 2 or 3 bedroom.

Could have been a problem in this development with the toilet. Let's ask aboutready, the toilet expert.

Saw these a couple weeks ago and here's my 2 cents ... this could have been a really beautiful gut reno, even with the added 4th/5th floors on the rooftop but it sucks. All that beautiful brick and they paired it with blah modern kitchens and poor construction. Where the walls meet the brick - not so good. Gaps, cracks, looks shoddy. I also don't understand why they left the brick exposed on the interior of the units - expecially beautiful on the first floor units - and then slapped that aluminum looking siding on the exterior of the building rather than just keep brick exterior.

The layouts are funky too. Great super high lofty ceilings but weird living spaces ultimately.

These could have been really unique and great but they aren't.
