Discussion about 180 East 93rd Street in Carnegie Hill
I walk by this building nearly every day and construction is advancing rapidly. They have changed the floor plans to very large one-per-floor units aiming for the luxury market. The rental listing on StreetEast is a mistake and has nothing to do with this building. Anybody no anything about 180 East 93rd?
prices/cc/taxes explain easily why nothing has sold--buy after the workout
The Real Deal has a story on a flip to rental
Does this building have a service elevator?
Just the one elevator for passengers and service. Just as well; if you're one of only seven owners it's probably better not to have a spare than to pay for it in perpetuity.
According to TRD whoever bought #3 or #4 (not in ACRIS yet) is renting it out. That makes three sales.
On Sunday, Sept 30, 2018 at approximately 2:30PM. I was attempting to park my car in front of this building and an African American male in a black suit, tie, and sunglasses, stood in the way of parking our car; he said that he was "saving the spot for a friend". We concluded he is the doorman of this building because when we told him we are starting to video him, he scurried into 180 E 93rd St lobby and stayed there.
First of all, this building's doorman is acting illegally based on NYC Traffic Rule 408 (n)(7). As the law states "It shall be unlawful for any person to reserve or attempt to reserve a parking space, or prevent any vehicle from parking on a public street through his/her presence in the roadway, the use of hand-signals, or by placing any box, can, crate, handcart, dolly or any other device, including unauthorized pavement, curb or street markings or signs in the roadway."
The more angering reason for my public discussion is because this man called my pregnant wife and I "you people" while arguing the spot is his. When we claimed he was being racist, he said "look at me, I can't be racist". When we asked him to clarify his words he continued to claim because of his own race, he could not be racist. As resident and owner in the UES seeing such behavior is appalling. Such behavior is unacceptable. Building employees' behavior should be representative of the building and the quality of their residents and I'm sure the building management would not want an ignorant racist doorman working for them. We will be reaching out to building management to file a formal complaint.
Lol
Probably non union DM. I don't think anybody with a contract would stand in the street like that. They wouldn't have to.
Now that's how you get a holiday tip!! Wish the union slugs in my building would do the same.
