Discussion about
...If you knew your neighbor was selling as a 'short' sale even though they could 'afford' to pay difference would it ' incentivize' you to do the same if you had the same mortgage holder/servicer? Hmmmm. Not long now till we have this situation occurring in lots of places. 220 rsd comes to mind.
Screw the banks. Morality is not an issue when dealing with a faceless, greedy entity. If they can get a bailout you can too.
i assume you mean riverside blvd not drive. would it be a lower floor, say the fifth?
I think most people who sell short can to some extent or another pay. From what I'm seeing, it's not really part of the bank's decision making process on short sales: what they care more about is if they think the loan is really going to default and if the price they are actually getting is close to currentmarket. short sales are much more about pragmatism than morality.
No. moral shmoral, it would screw up your credit.
so this is just immoral but what you advocated around Christmas-time was illegal, right?

I was going to leave a comment but won't now that I see that hsfcomm1/columbiacomm1 is in the room.
Why bother to join a discussion when there is a three year old in the middle of it screaming and yelling?
Good point Graffiti, better to steer clear of 3 year olds and spend your time with people who promote illegalities.
