New York City is a place of endless discoveries. To show it all off, we’re excited to announce #StreetEasyFinds. Share your NYC finds with us on Instagram: photos of homes, views, neighborhoods, or anything you’d like, and we’ll share our favorites. Each month, we highlight the work of one of our favorite NYC photographers as they share their #StreetEasyFinds with us. Today, we’re pleased to introduce Mahdiyeh Khodaparastan, a Dumbo resident whose love for travel photography inspired her to share her NYC photos with the world.

ACCOUNT BEGINNINGS:

I started my Instagram account a year after I moved to NYC. I used to share photos and videos of NYC and my travels through Facebook and Telegram with my family and friends. They motivated me to create a public account on Instagram and share it with everyone. I’ve always loved to share about architecture and nature, and whatever looks beautiful in my ordinary life.

FAVORITE SPOTS TO PHOTOGRAPH IN NYC:

As a nature and facade lover, definitely Central Park and Brooklyn Heights. I never get bored of those two places. I always find interesting subjects to shoot. Also, I love to see and capture seasonal changes in my favorite locations.

MAHDIYEH LOVES NYC BECAUSE:

I love the diversity and multicultural vibe of the city. Plus, there’s always something to do or explore. You never get bored here. I also love the seasonal change, and how extreme we can feel each season. Another thing I like about this city? Sometimes I feel like I am stepping into a movie scene, and it feels great!

DREAM CITY OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK:

I am interested in Japanese culture. I would like to see how life could be in Tokyo! Also, I’ve never been to Paris. But I am kind of in love with that city through the movies and photos I’ve seen.
