I'm currently living 1,000 miles away from NYC, so I was planning on flying up to the city in the last week of June or first week of July, staying with a friend for a week, and trying to find an apartment during that period. So does that sound realistic?
If I wasn't able to find anything, my fall back would be staying at my parents house in Philly starting August 1 and from there continue the search. But then my move in would be September, likely after classes start. Not ideal, but I suppose manageable.
My last option would be moving back to Philly at the end of June so then I would have two months to find a place. But I would prefer not to do that because I don't want to leave my job so early.
