How long from C/O to Closing?

I bought in a new building in 2007 and it was an adventure waiting for the TCO and then finally getting the closing notice. Since there are so many less new buildings now, is it easier in terms of getting the city to come inspect and assuming you pass, getting the TCO or C/O? How many inspections does this usually involve? Are they every 30 days or so? What's the norm for the number or days or weeks or months from passing an inspection until getting a closing notice?
