2nd Floor apartment on Upper West Side apartment

I am considering an apartment on the 2nd floor on W. 70th street. Normally I wouldn't go for such a low floor, but there is no light issue (it's across from a school), and the rooms and space are great. My one concern is of course street noise. It does not strike me as a particularly busy street, but probably busy enough that I would not want to keep the windows overlooking the street open. I'm wondering if this would be a huge mistake.
