This building is 'value engineered' - the windows work about as well as screens when they're fully closed. The walls are thin, hollow, and uninsulated. I live in a corner unit and the floor and walls freeze through on the outermost corner on cold days/nights, so it's nearly impossible and incredibly inefficient to heat the place because there is so much cold radiating from the floors and walls, as well as blowing straight through the useless windows and the gaping holes around and inside of the 'heating' units. There is nothing but dry wall serving as insulation for about a foot perimeter around the in-wall heating/cooling units, which means they let in about as much cold air as heat they produce. There are only two elevators to serve the entire building, one of which doubles as a freight elevator. The building should have three resident elevators and a fourth freight elevator to effectively serve the building tenants. Do not rent here - your money is better spent elsewhere in the neighborhood. The management company is awful, unresponsive, and refuses to recognize the costs it forces its tenants to subsidize. For example, in this underserved building, both elevators had to be 'modernized'. It has taken over three months to finish the first elevator, while a single barely functional elevator has serviced the whole building. There have been frequent outages in service entirely, and people, babies, strollers, packages, etc. have just been stranded periodically throughout that time. Instead of doubling down to finish the elevator project faster, management continued the project at a standard pace with no overtime costs or any hurry whatsoever while all the residents of the building have been horribly inconvenienced throughout.
