Are HDHP / HSA becoming more common

in the NYC metro area? Dh's employer just introduced them last year, we're very happy with the results and wonder why weren't they offered before? Premiums had increased but much less than the premium increases suffered by the regular health care plans being offered. That's what we wanted, to find an option that long-term would reduce our health care premium inflation. Wondering if we are alone in this experiment. Sorry, a little off-topic, i know.
