Do lawsuits transfer with the property

I am buying a new place where a current tenant had fell and hurt herself; she had sued the current owner for damages. My question is whether her lawsuit would carry over with the property and I would have to deal with the lawsuit or it would continue to be the responsibility of the current owner. Thank you
