So I sank everything into this mixed use property with no CO's (built before 1920),I'm trying to get CO's for top floor which was residential and bottom floor which was store, but is to be turned in to office space, DOB is running rings around my Architects expeditor, first they objected because they said it wasn't supposed to be residential in a manufacturing zone, then when the DOB records were pulled that showed it was two family in the 1930's they withdrew that objection and said the new objection was that it was supposed to be residential, now it looks like I'll need to go for a preconsideration, this is my first time dealing with the building dept, but I have no faith in my current expeditor, he just doesn't seem to have his act together, he had a month to prepare for this meeting and on the day he relied on the little paperwork I had managed to dig up.I need someone who knows what he is doing, and can navigate the nightmare that is the Brooklyn building dept, I have limited funds because I bought the property cash upfront [less]
