LOUD. This building is extremely loud. Front bedroom in #2E garage trucks starting 4am most mornings. 4th St is a through street so all the ambulances, police and fire sirens go past the front of the building. The restaurant downstairs has made the apartment shake. (It is not occupied for the time being.) This building has turned into a college dorm. So many young people partying in other units, shouting and screaming in stairwells all night. You can hear neighbors sneeze next store and hump upstairs. You need to stay on maintenance to come AND complete a job. There was a gas issue in building last year - we were without stove for over 6 mo. Communication from management on the issue was lacking. W were only compensated with a hot plate and toaster after 3 mo. Rats started appearing in the garbage area 4 mo ago. Gang graffiti in stairs. Entry is messy and bad lighting in stairs. Hallway walls and front doors need repair/paint. This unit had a very serious problem with mice - like it was crazy - that took me almost 6mo to control after I moved in. But I loved living in Apartment #2E. [less]
