What makes a great NYC neighborhood?

Discussion about 83 Greenpoint Avenue #D4
I live in Greenpoint near this listing and I just think it's a great place to be mainly because it's convenient to Manhattan but then you also have great coffee on the corner at Homecoming and then you can go to Transmitter Park to check out the East River and the skyline. What do you think makes a great NYC neighborhood and why?
