I'm curious what the appreciation rate for NYC/Manhattan has been in the past compared with California? Specifically with areas like San Diego which seems to be on fire lately - does real estate in Manhattan historically appreciate at the same rate that California does? Which place is considered the more solid/safe place to invest?
