All of us are charming IRL, even me. I haven't read much about Internet trolling or how online personalities relate to real life. I have a theory that things got really bad on here when we started meeting up in real life. Not sure why that is.

Speak for yourselves, nyc10023. I myself personally exude countercharm quite prolifically in real life.

And your theory is wrong. Things started getting really bad on here beginning July 12, 2008. That was the date that fausus pointed out that the name "Long Island City" is a misnomer; that it should in fact be known as the "District Of Underserviced Condo Housing Eyesores Between Astoria and Greenpoint".

It's been completely downhill from there.

That's pretty funny Alan. You could say that Williamsburg is the District Of Underserviced Condo Housing Eyesores Between Bushwick and Greenpoint".

@LENOXav if you find a satisfactory answer to your question could you please kindly pass it on to me at mllechn@gmail.com , I'm looking at BK townhouses, just found a vacant one with SRO status on two floors and though I'm not unfamiliar with the above I have yet to get a straight explanation without a lot of squirrel bait.
We're trying to get our attorney to answer but haven't heard from him either but hope to...thxs.

Small landlord wants to make it more difficult for SROs: "End the requirement to have a "Certificate of Non-Harassment" before getting a permit to renovate an SRO." http://www.brickunderground.com/blog/2013/09/an_open_letter_to_the_next_mayor_from_a_nyc_small_landlord

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/09/nyregion/untested-developer-picked-wrong-time-wrong-place-and-wrong-neighbors.html "From the outset, the Raths encountered problems. There were nine S.R.O. tenants in place, most all of whom required buyouts that totaled $525,000. With the building finally emptied in 2006, demolition began."
