Is VP entry level for agents? Seems to me every agent is either a VP, SVP or Executive VP.

Yes, just about every real estate salesperson is a "VP". It's like how nearly every McDonald's store employee is an "Assistant Manager".

If you want to see some god-awful broker pics, pick up one of those boonies-RE mags. Usually found in the vestibules of cheaper grocery stores.

Here's one that always makes me crack up whenever I come across his listings:

I wanted to start a thread about silly broker photos but could not find something egregious. Thanks for sharing, chuckfarley.

onthemove, that's priceless. w67th needs to forward the name of his barber.

they all bought units at the Atelier and Platinum. as well as the Link, Element. they're now reduced to selling studios and one bedrooms at basement prices, and trying to flip the stupid investments they made.

somewhat fitting, i'd say.

Reminiscent, in texture if not color, of a British barrister's wig.

It looks like Jeffrey and Madeline in OnTheMove's post use the same hair color product as well. That's why they are a 'team'. I suppose it saves money ... Hey, I'll take two of those wigs.

The smell of the recently-deceased lady and her used soap at Jeffrey's 1060 Park Ave, 13F listing continues to haunt me.

Oh, you know there're no lumps coming.

Always wondered why here in NY, with the best of B&W portrait photographers, so many go with color. After 25 or so it just doesn't work.

mimi: yes, but not in the usual sense. I usually only work for institutional/investor/banks unless someone is personally referred to me. Even then, I really only work the "property side" (i.e. owner rep, either leasing or sale). I also do expert witness work. And of course, trade on my own account. I have done a little buyer representation, but it tends to be more consulting work than what you might think of as brokerage in that sense that I tend to work on a fixed fee or hourly fee, and don't go around "showing apartments" to potential buyers. I'm not saying I will never do it again, but it hasn't been my "thing" for quite some time. And even then, it tends to be for reasonably sophisticated clients who need some very specific guidance (either valuation, negotiation tactics, general "reasonableness test", etc.)

The tytle of this thread applies to all posters. You guys are down to anonymously mocking the LOOK of the strangers? All of you must be really gorgeous, especially On the Move and aboutready.
Shudder.
And let's see how your mortgage brokers look...

BaronArtz: "Levitas is a real douche bag".
"I should post some of the emails he sent me when he was the listing agent of 13F, 1060 Park Avenue last year".
Could you be more specific? Besides your outrage at the old soap?

Right, now the typical streeteasy ire at brokers isn't based on substance, it is based on bad hairdoos and a picture of soap in the shower.

30yrs, I saw an unusual tool in your company's website: a multiple listings search. All the RE sites show their own listings.Yours have a zillion properties listed by other companies. I really don't know what to think of that.

Oh please- these brokers put it out there themselves. Write ridiculously complementary bios. They should expect some critiques. I hate this picture stuff myself. They all look foolish. Not posted are the young female pictures with their come hither looks like they are working for an escort service instead of a RE firm - or perhaps they are one in the same.
