w67thstreet...we did rent at a lower price. Thanks to helpful comments from this site we did make some changes. Before new pics were posted serious renters went in to take a look at the place...a bit of a bidding war started and we did okay for the market. Are grateful for our renters. Still live in NY as we own another apartment in the building. My husband commutes from NY to Fla for the health of one of our twins who was ill. Florida is healthier for her. Take a moment to realize not all owners are awful, other circumstances sometimes come in to play and I think all of us are just trying our best in these times. Good for the buyers and renters and lucky for those of us owners that needed to rent out our spaces but, not sure about where life might take us. Jobs, family, health etc. all play into decisions. Luckily we don't have to sell and nor do we want to. I adore Manhattan...for now though Florida was healthier for one of our children. I appreciate all the constructive commentary we got on this site. Still check in and love Streeteasy..a big fan since I found out about it a few years ago. Do you like the street considering your screen name? Maybe your one of my neighbors? Who knows...good luck to you and us all...and no not 6k a month although not what we wanted certainly covers our mortgage..we've always only bought what we needed or intended to use. Now we are renting a home in Florida until we see what happens with our little daughter who grows stronger every day in this lovely sunshine. Thanks for thinking about us and the comments you wrote that were constructive. I really don't think I posted that many comments by either...just when I needed to and tried to be respectful of the group.

Leslie: thanks for the update. May all go well with your daughter. The climate (and pollution) here isn't great for our eldest's asthma either ...

Leslie, if you got more than $6K, you did well. Congrats and best of luck with your family.

w67...creeps quietly through the bedroom window as not to wake his sleeping family. He opens his closet and pushes the cloths to the side revielng yet another hidden closet(very rare in NYC). As he removes his cape and hangs his super hero outfit on its hanger he can't help feeling that sence of satisfaction of helping others even though he must do it anonymously. He slinks silently into to bed where his lovely wife, Dr. w67, informs him that he has forgoten to take out the trash. Standing at the trash chut, smells wafting towards his nose, the realization that shrimpie, CarolSt, ph41 are still out there and, his work will never really be done gives him reason to pause. You would think that a super hero job came with a better dental plan.
Beware evil doers...where ever you are!

Hardy har har...now that's funny! NYC will always survive b/c of the people..not the properties. :) Yeah...pics sucked :) Renters very much appreciated...I'm in landlord and renters shoes...ahhhhhhhhh give everyone a chance...
