Discussion about
Does anyone have a link to the city and state budget that would show the annual cost of the DHCR, HPD, an estimate of our housing court costs per capita, how much of 311 time/money is spent on housing complaints etc. What I'm trying to figure out is how much money do we spend to enforce the rent stabilization rules. Would it actually be cheaper to just give people vouchers?
i'm starting to think that this thing may be another apparition of riversider.
well, rs, i haven't been rs. so i've not been in a protected class. and i never took any efforts to become so protected. so you're arguments are really off. but keep trying!!
what-ever.
but you seem to be saying if you can get in on a tenant buyout you'd be happy to profit. even if it entails city or federal funding? no need to answer that...
Despite all the overwhelming evidence that rent stabilization is unfair and harmful, aboutready will defend it with nonsense and inconsistent logic, because of her ridiculous entitlement attitude.
so...you figure that aboutready is the decider on whether or not RS continues?
oh, rs, wouldn't it just be wonderful if it fell into total disrepair, with no hope for anyone, tenant or landlord?
fuck you, you're so stupid. this solution will be the after-result of an incredibly stupid, horrifyingly greed-filled deal. just like you probably paid too much for your tax-abated condo on the way up, but yet still get tax benefits that inure to your benefit, i may very well benefit from this incredible greed on the way down. i didn't ask for it. unlike you i didn't look for it. it just happened. live with it.
winners and losers. which one will i be today.
You don't look for it?
Tell us the story again about the toilet seat you broke, Our Entitled Lady.
more noise from the asshole?

It's like bragging when you win the lottery. Which is what's wrong with society. Which is akin to the health care problem, people go into the hospital hoping they suffer, enough that they can sue, but not so much that they die. A nation of entitlement. And to make yourself feel better you pretend to be outraged at bankers or the like.
do you believe in anything other than arguing?
Peter Cooper could be sold, a portion of the property could go toward high rise with the proceeds helping to pay for maintenance, You could even extend this and make the new buildings 80/20, instead of the Peter Cooper tenant's association trading political support for government financing.
what government financing are you referring to?
oh rs. so that means you actually want to discuss health care? with any rationality?
of course not. not at all.
fuck you. you're horribly self-centered and nasty. i freely admit that my position may be a windfall. you? you're just entitled.
btw, what do you do? who are you other than someone who changes positions frequently and then claims that they have no position? and would you be willing to show your face in public? come to our next gathering.

as noted earlier...that would require getting out of the robe. suspect that rs has little interpersonal social skills.

maybe you two could take a class together
Something missing on the 421-A discussion is that borrowers on new construction are taking out mortgages. The mortgage recording tax is a major source of revneue for NYC. as anyone who has recently take out or refinanced a mortgatge can attest to. Those who purchase real estate in Manhattan contribute a disproportionate percentage of the city's finances.
except of course for those who buy with all cash. so...is that somehow bad?
