that's a pretty broad time range, though, poorish. maybe we should try for a more narrow target, and we might run into each other? drinking cheapish champagne from pretty bottles? smoke and mirrors. 4:00 i say. early enough to have a glass of bubbly. if it's bad, you can self-cure with an additional drink or two.

am i just not looking at the floor plans correctly, or does at least one of these units not even have a bathtub? for $12k you can have an f'ng walk-up without a bathtub?

So for $12,500/month, you wake up in the morning and have to walk through the living room, kitchen, "home office", and a second bedroom just to get to your main bathroom to shower/shave?

Seriously?

A few years back, I was at an open house (penthouse, terrace, the works), and a completely stoned bunch showed up just to hang out. They/we had a great time. Until the super showed up with his cell phone set on 911, and his finger over "talk". But it was fun while it lasted. The broker seemed entranced.

Apt23, unthinkable I know the not-takers-going-on-six-months apartment you are talking about. Not even the best with CP views in that range, IMO.

And to all those complaining about the awkward layouts, please remember that this was supposed to be a $21M 9500 sq ft townhouse. So what if they skipped 50 years and split it up into 5 places UWS-brownstone style upfront. They're ahead of the times! This is a turn-of-the century place, after all.

ion: i am talking about no takers for over a year and rent reduced from 17,000 to 9,000. why don't we have a rent reduction thread.

but back to point. can i please point out that SE has graciously offered drinks on a wednesday in the union square area. let's all say yes and have a short discussion on best venue in that area. and set a date about a month in advance so everyone can plan ahead. hurry up. i'm thirsty.

That'd be a fun thread, apt23.

No doubt we take SE up on their offer!

Oh yes, SE must pay for our libations. They should spring to feed us, too. We keep their website interesting. It's a good business investment for SE.

To ensure that eveyone is deserving of their free drink, I propose a secret word must be spoken to validate their membership.

I nominate: "Toilet"

I will be there.

But it will take someone with an even stronger animal sense than w67thstreet to sniff me out.

The judges also allow "about ready" as a secret phrase.
