So what does everyone think of an apt that recently sold for $600,000 being listed at $750,000? Sounds crazy right? BUT what if the apt was absolutely gorgeous and had a total and complete gut renovation that cost $150K. New floors, wiring, plumbing and a completely new kitchen and bath. The apt previously sold 6 months ago and was an estate sale, there hadn’t been any work done in 30-40 years and now it is brand new with top of the line appliances, fixtures etc. Would you consider it if you loved the apt and finishes or would you just think the owner was asking too much?

The key is what are other $750k units looking like? It's quite lemminglike to say 'purchase price + reno'. That's so 2007. It's a new era. I don't think pet rocks are coming back and fondue is just fondue.
