Discussion about
Hi, I own a property in Manhattan, and due to work I will be relocating oversea. I am going to rent my apartment, but I am looking for a company to manage it. (i.e. being the point contact with tenant if something needs to be fixed, calling contractors etc). So far I didn't find anyone who offers this kind of service. Would any of you have a recommendation? Does this service even exists?

I rented an apartment through a realtor and I paid the rent to the realtor, if there were problems in the apartment I contact the real estate company.

Gioppino,

My father has a small property management business for individuals such as yourself. He is highly efficient, trustwothy, and always on top of things. If you would like to get more information please feel free to contact me at db@resnewyork.com and I would be happy to give you his details. He will take care of invoicing the tenant each month, being the contact person with tenant, collecting the rent on time, paying all bills associated with landlord, and send you the balance. Of course if there are any issues he will coordinate resolving the problem. I highly recommend him....As a real estate broker my past clients have found this service to be very convenient, especially since a lot of them are overseas.

I think most real estate brokers in manhattan offer property management services. Additionally, you can also ask some people in your building or the super who people use. Many times a management company does a lot of work in one particular building already so they already know all the ropes about getting applicants approved, the board etc.
