Thanks! The offering does say that the heating and cooling are provided by "PTAC" Packaged Termination Air Conditioning Unit. Does that mean the Con Ed bill will be very high?

that means you will have several units that you control and they are measured by your electric meter.

have the same thing where i am purchasing. took me a while to figure it out as the offering says heat is included in common charges. During the colder times if i understand it you are going to turn it to heat and the heat will come out and be supported by the building, however the unit will take some electricity to run, of course no where close to AC.

PTAC is a good and reliable system that allows for individual control for both heating and cooling and is both economical, space saving and "greener" than old systems. We put them in all our new buildings.

make sure it doesnt leak, and when you run the AC, beware of condensation puddling on your wood floor. Also, make sure whoever installed them patched any holes they created. Test and inspect your ptac thoroughly before you close.

PTAC are like Holiday-Inn A/C units in your apartment. GHETTO. If you can avoid, you should. They are loud as he*** and don't know how to regulate themselves so you're always getting up and down to adjust the temperature.
