Discussion about
I know it's hella boring, but I'm trying to get back on track with RE. 1) Matt Damon 535 WEA? True? 2) Conan O'Brien -> LA? 3) Madonna selling 41CPW (there's an old spread of her apt in AD archive) 4) When is what's her face on the View going to leave 245W99?

It was before 2003, so no public record. Their first UCC1 for it was in April 2002.

Glamma: The Limbaugh apartment sold for $11.75MM.

Back on the West Side, St. Elsewhere co-stars William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett just sold their apartment at Schwab House for $1.395MM. According to IMDB, they will celebrate their 60th anniversary next June. I guess they will celebrate it in LA. Best wishes, Mr. Adams. (Though you're obnoxious and disliked - that cannot be denied.)

What is it about celebs and CPW? Give me an amazing view of the Hudson and I'll take that over CP view any day.

On river view vs. Central Park, there's the obvious centrality issue (rivers are "far" from the action).

Beyond that, I think there might be a uniqueness aspect. Water views, great as they are, can be had in many geographical locations. Lots of oceans, lakes, rivers, etc. in the world. Even if it must be from a high-rise, lots of places have high-rises on the water. A high-perched view of a huge rectangle of green, surrounded by tall buildings, not so common. It might be my provinciality, but I don't think I've seen that anywhere outside of NYC.

Think about it. You, your stylist, and your two pet chihuahuas have just come from your ocean-front Malibu mansion overlooking the Pacific. Is a view of a river full of barges and tankers with a background of NJ really going to be all that interesting?

inonada, on the other hand, a park view makes sense only when it at least clears treetops while the river is always the river. As to what might be "interesting" to a couple of chihuahuas with a human attachment, who cares.

Nice funny on the chihuhuas.

On the west side, you've got the tree issue as well, plus the highway.

The one perk about CPW is that you actually do get both greenery and water views. I have a CP view and have constantly changing seasonal views -- lush summer greens, colorful Fall leaves, Reservoir in the bareness of winter and beautiful Spring cherry (pink and white) blossoms.

Whereas, if you're on the water, the view is pretty much always the same -- although pretty.

Don't forget penises are 20% larger if you live on cpw. I lost the 4 inches (flaccid) when I moved to bway. My wife is looking to move back.

"On river view vs. Central Park, there's the obvious centrality issue (rivers are "far" from the action)."

On the Upper West Side, if you consider Broadway to be where the action is, you are closer to the action if you have River Views.

Assuming "River Views" means Riverside Drive, that is 2 short blocks from Broadway. On the other Hand, Central Park Weest is 3 blocks from Broadway, and 2 of those blocks are very long, between Columbus and CPW, and CPW/Amsterdam.

In any case, you are unlikely to be far from the action when you are on the Upper West side except in a few out of the way corners.

Sorry, I have neither RSD or CP views - since my 1st priority is space, 2nd priority is light, views come a distand 3rd. CP views are WAY more valuable than RSD views. Simply put, they're just nicer. I'd much rather contemplate the East Side skyline than NJ.

Not to me. I love seeing the hawks, herons, gulls, sunsets, sailboats, barges, trees from RSD... all set off by sparkling water. The places I've visited with that sort of set-up make me drool. CPW? Not so much. Plus, I absolutely prefer Riverside Park over CP as a place to spend time outdoors.

W67th: With the housing bubble, CP views now gain you 8 inches. Unless you rent, in which case it's still only 4.

bramstar - It could have been the cost of the apartment, or the reaction of preview audiences to Ms. Murphy's new film, "Something Borrowed".

They settled for the fourth floor and treetop views. I think that says more about inventory than Mr. Willis's resources.

Minor note - interesting how the sellers were able to enlarge the bathrooms, despite all the talk here about how buildings don't allow "wet over dry"

The maid's bath and servant's quarters are probably part of the kitchen-wing wet zone, so no surprise there. The interesting part is the expansion of the master bath into the adjacent closets. I guess some shareholders have more pull than others.

You've got your own form of trolling w67 & I don't try to imitate yours. You want to try to imitate mine? - fine, but so far it's far from the same.

Hey, how come you need inoitall, to help you with your financial decisions? I realize your dad who got you started is gone, but your brother - what happened there? Was he one of the "thousands that touched your wife?" Ooops!
Or something else, what is it with you and your family? Did you disgrace them? Not acceptable back in the home country?

Hahahahahhaaa. My form of trolling versus yourz? Yep. I use a lot more 'z'. Look field hamster. Think of my trolling as doing you a favor. By my making SE just for the two of us, I'm hurting you where it really hurts. Much akin to your 'touched by a thousand men' comment against my wife (doesn't bother me if she was touchéd by a 10k men, it bothers me that you think that it would hurt me so you keep bringing it up when you got nothing else). You can't troll if the site is dead. Well this site is dead, due in large part to the increasing crassness of w67. Also, the more my investment calls are correcterest and my net worth increasezzzz in real life the harder it is for Team RE to log into SE and post for fun. Now u can go on with your real life where that little nyc re bubble profit was the mostest maximest awesomest $$$ that has ever happened to your real life and will ever happen in your lifetime. That is what is called an anomaly. My Sprint, apple, Gtat, 200 condo development and $25mm apartment complex..... U decide. I'd be the loserest mostest cheer leader for team RE too if that was the only way I made coin in my life. Basically anyone who ever even questioned the 'value' of that bubble became your target.

And u r correct retard, you don't troll like me. I troll with a purpose and for the correct team, and it ain't team RE. Your on the side of the all that is evil with bubbles. Self serving nazis with their grubby little hands. Me me me me me, my money! My money! I got herez first! It's mine mine mine. Go team RE!

Yes, herr field hamster.
