Discussion about
With Pedro Espada finally out of the picture and Carl Paladino's nomination almost insuring a continuation of the Democratic majority in the State Senate come November, now is the time. For what? Repeal of vacancy decontrol of rent stabilized apartments, some of the worst anti-tenant legislation ever passed in this state, 13 years ago. There are no more excuses, no time will be better, and we need to get it done now! Tenants and Neighbors, Tenant.net let's get going and put pressure on the NY State Senate to do the right thing.

Repeal rent control and rent stabilization. Artificial, government regulated, low rents inflates the cost to the rest of us.

What a surprise that someone with such an intelligent idea put a rent regulation topic under "sales"...

I take back what I did not say in the post that was neither 1,3,4, or 5 amongst the five posts above this one.

Housing is a RIGHT, not a privilege. It should be free. And EVERYONE should have an unobstructed view of Central Park, not just those who live in Long Island City.

Oh wait - Long Island City doesn't have a view of Central Park. It has a view of the Newtown Creek and the Queensbridge Houses.

Sorry. My bad.

I agree that housing is a right. I think Bloomberg should lobby for a trillion or so dollars and then raze all housing on CPS, CPN, CPW and Fifth AVE, then build 100 story towers all along the park and offer apartments for say 800 dollars a month. This would put any New York Democrat in a blissful state of mind.

Food should be free, too, because you need it to live.

Sorry, MY bad. I'm a newbie here and I didn't realize this was under Sales. Please forgive me and let's drop the subject. Or keep pounding away, whatever turns you on. If there was a way I could close this thread, I would.

Its not the placement thats off, its the sentiment. No matter where you put it, you are wrong.
