Discussion about
Outside of NYC, I'm being told that Realtor.com is the primary search tool with the NYTimes running a distant second. However, I'm not sure I believe these stats. There are so many online tools. Please advise.

Try Google map -> real estate. You'll get plenty of results that will lead you to some re agency over there...

Realtor.com works pretty well. So does realestate.yahoo.com, which links to Zillow. Among brokerage sites, I like williampitt and raveis.

All great comments and thank you, however, I don't think I was being clear enough. As an agent in the bedroom communities of Westport, Fairfield, Norwalk, Darien, etc. what I'm trying to explore is where to target my online presence so that I can target the NYC/Stamford reverse commuters or those looking to FINALLY move out of New York and into a house in these bedroom communities. BROOKSVALE: Weichert has a very good NYC presence in the New York suburbs and New Jersey so I understand that avenue. WEST81 ST and NYC 10013: As an fyi, Pitt, CTReal.com, and Raveis and all the area offices DO share listings so each of us have access to each other's property to the extend that around 2% are dual agent sales. SLEDGEHAMMER: Is this part of adwords? Is there a technique to being able to be FOUND MORE THAN ONCE on Google Maps. Thank you for your great comments and I apologize for being unclear. MT

I know how to make a real estate seach w/ google ( Type in address, then go to advanced search , and use the drop down menu to select ) but i don't know how Google manage results. You could as well email them and ask...
