Discussion about 253 Fourth Avenue in Park Slope
Not a huge fan of the location, although at least it is more northward on the Park Slope scale. I have not actually seen it so can't comment on layouts or space. I prefer 580 Carroll's location, but it's out of budget and I haven't seen that one either.
Seems expensive to be that close to 4th ave. I guess some people don't mind (obviously), but I think 3rd & 4th ave are the blight of South Brooklyn.
The views from 560 carroll are great facing 4th avenue as you can see nyc. Relatively expensive price/sq ft. Lacking in closet space as well.
We saw the three bedrooms and liked the layout alot. There isn't alot of kitchen storage. Bathrooms are nice and the bedrooms are good sized. Also the common roof had awesome views.
I saw some of the 1-bedrooms with balcony/terrace and really wanted to like it, but the bedrooms were small and had the odd zig zag wall with not much closet space (for what would be considered the master bedroom). The views from the 10th, 11th and 12th floor however were to die for, but I couldn't get over having a small bedroom.
agreed...disappointing space and no discount for poor location
No closet space. Noisy street. No kitchen storage. Building has several maintenance issues, ie heat and AC never work.
