I have been offered 1/8 discount of my mortgage for 50 bps of the loan. Am I right in thinking that the 'breakeven' on this is keeping the mortgage about 4 years? I intend to stay in my new place for at least a couple of decades, this seems like a great deal. Am I missing anything signficant as I calculated the cost benefit?
