In our experience, pretty much any of the large corporate-run rental buildings know how to deal with this scenario. Usually they ask for documentation on where the rent is coming from - grant letters, job offer letters, etc. The large buildings do this for a living, renting to students or soon-to-be graduates is normal operations for them.
The key thing is to never use a broker at all for rentals in this scenario because it adds hugely to the cost and creates little to no value. They all take you to the same large corporate rental buildings that you can identify easily on StreetEasy.
Mucuk, this sounds more like a solicitation rather than a call for advice. I wonder what the policy is for people who solicit here?
But since he didn't bother to include his contact info, it's not a solicitation, just another whiny rant.

EXCEPT----many of the large "corporate-run" rental buildings DO NOT advertise or have their listings on streeteasy. So what the fuck happens then?
