Need some reco's for a wood floor installer that does their work in Queens. I'm in Jackson Heights and am doing reno in an apartment. General Contractors welcome or even handy man who knows what their doing. Also, for rentals are you folks using 3/4" oak or bamboo ? pros vs cons? I'm leaning towards solid oak, but am open to cost effective solutions that make the most sense for a rental. Thanks Harry.
Try Carlos from JC Martin Renovation, he's installed several floors for my apartment rentals in Brooklyn and Queens. You can reach him via his website here:

I usually do not go high-end with my rentals so I would go with the cheapest option. Ask Carlos about sourcing the wood as well, they get contractor prices which they pass onto the clients.
Good Luck,
Adam
Hboogz,
I have a great floor guy ( email me at primerenovations@mac.com
Do not use Bamboo in a rental. It dents and dimples very easily. Just use 3/4" oak
shoot me an email, i can send you contact info
If i were you, I go with engineered plank floor, good looking with warranty and cheaper option.

Hboogz,
I would not use inexpensive engineered flooring for a rental. You will have to replace them often. The cheaper flooring does not look all that good after sanding and it only has a couple of sanding's in them. Spend a little more for solid oak and save more later
