Discussion about
Our lending agent went above and beyond to make the homebuying process in NYC as painless as possible. Answered questions promptly no matter what day and time it was, and did a lot of legwork for 2 prior properties that fell through before this one. After 3 years of working together we are finally closing, and he is really a huge reason for that. What is an appropriate gift to send as a thank you - flowers, wine, steaks? Gift certificate?

Buy him a book about how stupid it is to go to law school in the States, given the debt load you'll accumulate, unless you go to some TTT school in which case your job will suck. Or get him a gift certificate to nice restaurant and $100 for babysitter for the night. He'll have a nice evening. Just buying some kit is kind of boring.

Referral is the best thing you can do for him. If he did a good job - recommend him to your friends. When asked on this board - recommend him as well. He'll appreciate that.
