I would like to say that I am shocked to discover that people continue to list and buy from Karen Heyman. My family was unfortunate enough to meet her an bought an apartment from her. We've long moved away from the neighborhood. I was checking streeteasy and I was stunned to see Karen still working. She's the biggest con artist in DUMBO. I would like to say that I am shocked to discover that people continue to list and buy from Karen Heyman. My family was unfortunate enough to meet her an bought an apartment from her. We've long moved away from the neighborhood. I was checking streeteasy and I was stunned to see Karen still working. She's the biggest con artist in DUMBO. She's strongarmed more people into buy shoddy apartments and fooled more honest people who are trying to sell their apartmnets (unsuccessfully, no thanks to Karent) than any other broker in DUMBO. People who have listed with Karen have threatened to sue because she tells lies about buyers who never actually exist. Furthermore, people who are trying to buy an apartment find out only after they've bought that everything that Karen had told them was a lie. I am truly shocked that she's still around and people keep doing business with her. [less]
I had the unpleasant experience of working with Karen Heyman a while back. By your experience I can see she has not changed but, has only become more of a liability to the real estate community and the unfortunate individuals who are come in contact with her.
Karen is a liar. She should have her license revoked.
calling someone a liar, isn't really useful. everyone lies. if licenses were revoked for not always being completely truthful, then nobody would be licensed, in any profession.
i'm sure everyone has had good and bad experiences with agents, and they should be shared, as that is useful for all of us.
Are you kidding...everyone lies. If a broker knowingly lies and misrepresents a property, he or she can be legally liable if the buyer relied upon these lies.
She doesn't have her photo on the website. Is that the norm for Sotheby's? You'd be more apt to remember her face than her name? Hmmmmm..............
if you have proof of her illegal actions, report her directly to the NY Department of State.
she doesn't co-broke so if she is selling your apartment only her customers are seeing it.
