never going to happen. this is a bargaining chip that is being used as leverage to demand concessions from the 'other side' during fiscal cliff negotiations, nothing more, nothing less.

It sounds like it might be included in a cap to target high income earners rather than a over the board elimination.

WOW ppl are dense. THE FACT THE TWO SIDES ARE EVEN CONSIDERING THE ELIMINATION of 2nd home mortgages and mortgages for above $500K homes....===> NOT GOOD FOR $1MM STUDIO COOPS.

MOST ppl don't understand BUY ONE GET ONE FREE OFFERS... BUT THROW IN "TAXES" and it's the perfect storm of misinformation, financial stupidity and 6%ers... a clusterf--K of self serving brokers, mortgage bankers, worthless housesitters/home renovators/home flipers and politicians.

TAKE IT OUT TO THE SHED, "HEY is that a house mouse on the floor?" ... "POP, POP, POP"

DONE.

in an easy credit driven market such as this, I've thought about the delta hedge and the double reverse omega straddle and the often overlooked double eagle squawking 3rd deviation newton.... but sometimes.. I have sex wo a condom on.

and yes, double down on Sprint. Didn't buy at $2.14 when I said to buy.. didn't buy at $4... did't buy at $5... fk I give up... but I'm double extra long wo delta hedge...

Fk... throw some words around and you're a financial genius!!!!! Remember the good ole days, I'd have a bunch of traders come thru and try to impress with fancy words and charts....

Chart and fancy words away... whilst I make coin you betyches...

I think that this is a no brainer. No deductions for mortgage amounts in excess of $500,000. No deductions for home equity lines of credit. Mortgage deductions limited to one owner occupied home.

Or index the deduction to whatever the threshold is for a "jumbo" mortgage.

Mortgage interest deduction is totally unfair to the 47% who pay no taxes.
