Could you elaborate on this? I looked at the building and liked it, wondering what specific problems you've had?

What ? That cannot be! It says ICON is a "NO Fee" Management firm. That means you rented this on your own. Are you complaining now?

Yep - what a dummy I am Clifford. Went w/ a "no fee" building so I could save myself the 15% annual fee that uninformed renters pay so a shady real estate agent can show them the 2-3 properties they have access to that don't fit the specs I described to them.

Anyway - back to the Icon. The roof that is promised in the lease, marketing papers and sales pitch has yet to open. My understanding is that tenants have lived in the building since last summer, so some people have gone the entire duration of their lease without roof access.

The building also has water problems - there were issues with water pressure, temperature and color for much of the winter. It was so bad that some people had to stay with friends or shower at friends homes in order to get a warm shower in late December.

Turnover is high and morale is low amongst staff. Most of the doormen and porters last less than 3 months, so it is hard to develop a rapport or understanding - it makes the interactions feel awkward and not like "home".

Much more wrong, but those basics should be enough to give a flavor of the issues.
