Can anybody recommend solutions for soundproofing? Any comments about CityProof?

For walls, I understand that quietrock and green glue are good solutions.

I installed CityProof windows because of street and subway noise. I was pleased with the results, although expect to wait at least 6 weeks before they are ready to install.

i've heard citiquiet windows work really well. I once saw an apt with them and i couldn't hear a thing outside (at ave A/4th street).

path, have you searched previous threads? There have been a few others on the subject. You should find plenty of info, as well as some referrals.

I've heard good things about Auralex Sheetblok, though it was in commercial installations, not residential.
