I think it should be $200. That ought to cut down on the number of tourists down there.

Do you live or work in the area?
SE why?
It should be free to any NYC resident. We pay enough taxes to live here.
uwsbeagle, agreed.
If they must charge, at least give a (high) percentage to those, for instance, who lost and perpetualy need assistance, those with chronic health problems as a result of the rescue efforts, and the like. Cost of museum = $700 million, and they've already received $875 million from government and private donations, so they've got their money before they've even open the doors, so any excuse like "it cost a lot to build and open a museum" seems like BS.
The memorial and the museum are separate.
The memorial is and will be free.
It's the museum that has to sustain itself somehow.
If you want to plow even more money into it, go to https://www.911memorial.org/donations
There're also links to buy t-shirts, jewelry, and other commemorative tat.
>The memorial and the museum are separate.
That's a helpful distinction - I didn't know that - thanks.
Yes, I was, as the article was too, referring to the museum itself, (just like the numerous other NYC museums which don't require entrance fees).
90% goes to port authority union thugs, 8% goes to City Admin, 2% goes to victim families.
This will be running in a continuous loop, in 3D holographic HD at the museum.
Well worth the proposed admission fee; after seeing it once, most tourists probably won't be coming back anytime soon...
