Any updates on this building or thoughts? I visited the sales office on 49th and tenth and was pretty amazed by the quality of the furnishings.

I too am curious about this building. So far there have been no negative comments, such as the type that we often see on here for New Developments. (LOL). Might this be a good sign? On the other hand, does the silence mean that no one here on SE has even ventured out that far west to even go to an Open House? LOL.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I lived across the street for a rental for a year. Very safe neighborhood but it gets noisy at night. A lot of partygoers seem to use 49th as the main street to cross from West to East and vice versa (as opposed to 48 or 50). Another thing that contributes to the noise is because 49th is the main street for all buses (MTA as well as private buses).

Other then that, on a scale of 1 to 10 in feeling danger, I would give it a zero. I always felt safe walking around even late at night. The bus runs East on 50th and West on 49th so it makes the long walk to the subway easier. And 9th Ave has a lot of restaurants and a big nightlife.

I went over to see the construction site and can't believe people are paying these prices for this location. It's down the block from a homeless shelter and sandwiched between a loading dock and a car dealership lot. Not a nice block at all.

Looks like all the investors who bought units are having trouble getting these rented out, based on the number of price drops on the rental listings...
