I get it, it's economics and SE is now your property. Therefore, this won't be a rant about recent changes but merely suggestions. I've been a SE user for many years and as others have mentioned, think it's one of the best RE sites out there. Change is sometimes good, but as the saying goes, "If it ain't broke..." (ok, so I did squeeze in a rant). Anyway, 1- Ability to upload photos w/small max file size (640 pixels wide?). As the saying goes, a picture's worth a thousand words. 2- "Subscribe to thread" function. 3- "Edit" function within X minutes of posting (so I don't sound like fool ALL the time). 4- Permanent link to old SE. Sorry, but I too prefer the old GUI. Oops, I did it again. That's it and of course they're only suggestions. To SE members: This isn't our house, it's Zillow's. Like all products, we have a choice to buy it or not. I haven't spent nearly as much time on SE as I used to, but hope Zillow will consider meeting us half way with some of the above. justmy2 [less]
Very well said. I hope they shake the "bottom line" blues long enough to comprehend what you are giving them. There can be a compromise even with corporate america. I know, I'm dreaming, but why not, it's the holidays.

Just be more sensible how you post.
Happy Holidays to you Bill.
As you said, "...but why not, it's the holidays."
Time will tell.
Happily, the problems with SE have sent me investigating other places and of course we actually don't need SE, convenient and fun as it is.
The New York Times has actually been more useful lately finding available properties than SE. Curbed and Brownstoner deserved more time than I've given them.
The Times actually has quite a wealth of info on its site, and people who don't know about SE post their listings there exclusively (some FSBOs and agents for small agencies).
OLR is tiresome even for agents, it's a poor website and always has been, but the public portal lets you quickly see when listings were updated, which is the most important thing to know for us.
Nothing beats Property Shark in my book, but you do have to pay for the best service there. SE has some info for free that requires Property Shark otherwise.
So fear not, if Zillow doesn't care about consumers anymore, that's fine, there's a big wide universe out there. The information genie is out of the bottle and it's not going back.
