Discussion about
Can anyone recommend a very thorough inspector to take on a walk thru of a new development? I've heard rumors of problems in the building and want to be prepared.

Radical suggestion: Hire yourself a P.E. (structural engineer). My experience with home inspectors, despite licensing, is that they know very little about what they're doing. I remember one case where the toilet wouldn't flush correctly, I knew this, but the inspector overlooked it. And it was not a super easy repair (or I would have done it). When I buy next I'm hiring an electrician, plumber and roofer to take a look.

Hi nyclady9, a client of mine just used Korine Associates and had a very positive experience. Here is the company's website: http://www.getinspection.com/
